Amy Fowles RVN
Amy qualified as an RVN in 2022 and started as a locum nurse a few months later. Amy provides holiday cover for the nursing team throughout the year. Before becoming an RVN, Amy completed a B.Sc. in Zoology and a M.Res. in Biosciences. She has a keen interest in surgical nursing, wildlife, and exotics.
Amy also works part-time with horses, working as part of a team that performs all over the country! She has a corn snake called Cupid, and a horse called Positano.
Laura Mainwaring RVN
Laura qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018 from Reaseheath college in Nantwich. She is originally from Shropshire and joined Daventry Veterinary Clinic in 2019. Laura enjoys all aspects of nursing and has a particular interest in Pet Nutrition, Anaesthesia, In-patient care and dentistry. She recently gained the British Small Animal Veterinary Association’s (BSAVA) Veterinary Nurse Merit award in Nutrition and is a member of the BSAVA. At home Laura lives with husband Luke and their 2 cocker spaniels, Holly who is 10 years and 1 year old Eddie. In her spare time, she enjoys walking in the countryside, swimming, baking, and reading.
Paula Hallin RVN
Paula began Veterinary Nursing in 1990 at a large mixed practice in Aylesbury and studied at Berkshire College of Agriculture. After working in small animal and equine practices for several years , Paula moved to Northamptonshire and joined Daventry Veterinary Clinic when it first opened in August 2001. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing , particularly nurse clinics and meeting patients and their owners at reception. Paula is married and has a teenage son. When not working Paula is busy with her horse called Bramble, and at home she has an Irish terrier called Salty, Zorro an ex feral cat.
Claire Stanley RVN
Claire started her training in 1997 at Moreton Morrell College and qualified in 1999. She has always worked in small animal practice and came to work at Daventry Veterinary Clinic in 2003. Claire enjoys the varied aspects of veterinary nursing, and it will usually be Claire who completes your insurance claim forms. Claire has completed a Merit Award in Dermatology and is a member of the BSAVA.
Claire is married with 2 teenage children, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Misty and a cat called Sweets. When not working Claire enjoys many activities including swimming, cycling, going to the gym as well as reading and completing jigsaw puzzles.
