Daventry Veterinary Clinic offers acupuncture treatment for dogs and cats.
“Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine sterile disposable needles into certain places on the body for therapy.”
It can be used to treat osteoarthritis, back pain, lick granulomas and other conditions.
If acupuncture is recommended for your pet, it will usually be for an initial course of four treatments over three to four weeks. Ongoing treatments will be based on each pets specific needs, but are generally monthly. Most pets accept acupuncture very well and many are very relaxed, some even fall asleep during treatment! It is normal for you to stay with your pet during the acupuncture treatment.
At Daventry Veterinary Clinic acupuncture is performed by veterinary surgeon Sarah Aldridge.
